Act 32:

“It’s never too late… To Cuddle Someone

Life without touch is hollow. Cuddles transmit love. They give warmth. And hope. And trust. The feelings flow back and forth. A cuddle can make someone’s day. It can even save a life. Cuddle generously. And often.” – Patrick Lindsay

Quote in book: “Never underestimate the healing power of touch.” ~ Anonymous

I LOVE CUDDLING! It always feels so good. I grew up in a family where we would hug and cuddle and kiss each other all the time, so I’m a very affectionate person. Cuddling is awesome. I think I’m a serial cuddler. I hug everyone. I am that girl! The “hugger”. The girl you just met and is now hugging you. That’s me! I feel that everyone needs a hug. We need touch. We need affection. Whether is a pat on the shoulder or a full on embrace...We all need love! Cuddling/Hugging is the easiest way to do that.

I think I only have one problem w/ cuddling and that is I can only stand it in short bursts. There’s the cuddling at night. I can only do that for so long. I get really HOT. I know some people who can cuddle all night. I can’t all that body heat makes me super HOT (as in warm…get your minds out of the gutter). Then I get all sweaty and well...no one likes a sticky, wet cuddle… ick!

Then there's the super long cuddle sessions. I know when my mom tries to “cuddle” me (more like devour me) I’m always.. "Ok that’s enough for now. 5 secs is all you get" When the “cuddle” goes on for more than 5 sec I get a little uncomfortable. However, when my mom always tries to hug my bro and i for so long I always feel bad, cause it's not that I don't love her back, but she gets a little too excited. Now I know where I get my "cuddle" gene from! Anyways, I love you, Mom! Even if I wouldn't want to "cuddle" w/ you right now. - Let me explain.

On the phone today my mom told me she was "radioactive". I immediately pictured a green glow around her like The Green Lantern. She's actually "radioactive" because she's gonna take a stress test tomorrow for her heart (don't worry...she's fine... but their making sure of it by doing the stress test). They shot her up w/ isotopes for it, hence the radio-activeness (I thought I made that word up, but the spellchecker found it). Anyway, the other funny thing is that her doctor said she has to carry around a card tomorrow when she goes thru airport security. It's so that the TSA agents won't arrest her for setting off a machine. haha. I couldn't stop laughing. She'll apparently be radioactive for 3 days! Love you mom. I'll love you even more when you're no longer radioactive and I promise to let you "cuddle" w/ me for at least 10 secs next time I see you!

I consulted The ORACLE to see what was out there and I found this article on wiki How: “How to Cuddle” I think it’s so funny there’s an article about this, so I had to repost it. To make it fun I’ll put pics of me doing the things they are telling you to do. I was gonna put up pics of me cuddling w/ my friends, but I decided in honor of Father’s day this Sunday to put up pics of me (and my bro) “cuddling” with my dad!

  1. Lean your head on someone's shoulder. If someone does this to you, lean your head gently on theirs.
  2. Put your arm around someone's shoulders.
  3. Put your arm around someone's waist. If someone does this to you, you can put your arm around their waist too, or around their shoulders.
  4. Rest your head on someone's chest or lap.
  5. Hold hands. You can put your palms together, kind of like a handshake, or intertwine your fingers. Even just resting your hand on top of theirs is a nice display of affection.
  6. Keep doing all of the above, in various combinations, and guess what? You're cuddling!
So, however you want to do it. Go out and cuddle w/ someone. Anyone. Your partner. Your family. Your friends. Your co-workers. Your neighbor. Come cuddle w/ ME! I love you all! Thanks for reading. I wish I could cuddle all of you right now! *HUGS*
