Hearing Them Crash On The Sand Is Soothing

OMG… First let me acknowledge that this is the HALF way mark of this blogging adventure… Can you believe it? I’ve been blogging for 86 days straight – that’s almost 3 months or a little over 12 weeks. Crazy… My whole life has changed in these 3 months. There are lots of things that have changed in my life over the last 3 months, but I’ll just talk about the biggest thing in my life that has changed.

At the beginning of the 3 months, I was obsessed with Katherine Brooks and her movie Loving Annabelle. I have since followed Kat on her journey across the country for Face2Face movie. For those not paying attention in the previous blogs, Face2Face is Kat’s movie about going across the country meeting 50 of her facebook friends. I met Kat two days ago. I was not one of the 50, but she met with me anyway. She is amazing and had the best day ever!!! We chatted by the pool like little school girls who’ve known each other for years. Then we met up with Maria (who’s filming Kat on her journey) and all went to get her nasty hair extensions out (she’d kill me for say that… but they felt like little pellets in her hair… it was gross(ish)). We then got pedicures (manicure for maria) and massages for Kat and Maria. After, we went to get ice cream and then I basically threw the gauntlet down and told Kat I’d wipe the floor w/ her in bowling. She even made me use the house ball and shoes. I promised I wouldn’t tweet out the results (so I wont)… but y’all know what’s what…haha.

3 months ago, never did I think that I would meet Kat… let alone consider her one of my friends. Never did I think that I would meet such amazing people who also follow Kat’s journey. Kat created an amazing community of people who make no judgments and support each other 100%. Some of these people will be a permanent part of my life! (you know who you are). I’m a proud member of the Face2Face Family and member of the Kat Pack. I love you all. Thanks for making these last few months the best. Kat you are the shit! And I love you! You have changed my life forever. I can't thank you enough.

Act 86:

“It’s never too late… To Watch The Waves

Smell the sea air. Feel the spray. It’s one of nature’s most soothing forces. The endless rhythm. The expansive power. The constant ebb and flow. The variety of the swells. Let the motion calm you. Meditate on the magnificence.” – Patrick Lindsay

Quote in book: “The sea is as deepe in a calme as in a storme.” ~ John Donne

This just makes me think of “stop and smell the roses”. I love the ocean. I like the smell. I like the sounds of the ocean… the sound the waves make is sooo soothing to me. I just love it. The only thing I don’t love about the ocean is sand. I hate sand. However, I don’t need to be in the sand to hear the waves crashing. The other thing about the ocean is that I’m not really into how cold it usually is. On a hot day the breeze is nice, but living in Cali the beach is usually cold.

Reading Mr. Lindsay's words "Smell the sea air. Feel the spray." It reminds me of the first words in The Little Mermaid.

Eric: The salty sea air. The wind blowing in your face. The perfect day to be at sea.

Grimbsy: Oh yes... delightful...

Sailor: A find strong wind and a following sea. King Triton must be in a friendly type mood.

Eric: King Triton?

Sailor: Why ruler of the merpeople, lad.. thought every good sailor knew about him

Grimbsy: Merpeople! Eric, pay no attention to this nautical nonsense

Sailor: But it ain't nonsense. it's the truth I tell you. I'm telling you, down in the depths of the ocean they live...oooh.

My bro and I would recite this movie all the time. I can't believe I remembered all that! haha. Anyway. I think I need to go take a trip to the ocean either today or tomorrow if I can. Who's with me? Let's just sit and watch the waves crash and just think. I just thought of another thing to do, I could totally get a CD w/ sounds of the ocean to help me sleep…. Awesome. It does have a calming influence on me.

Do you like the sound of the waves crashing on the beach? I know most of you live by a beach... maybe we can all schedule some beach time, so it's like we are all there together! =) (I know I'm a dork)
