Ok I got to be honest. I drew a blank when it came to this Act. So as usual. I consulted The ORACLE. I found a page that had interesting facts about butterflies. - I took the 10 that I found most interesting and put them here.

1. Butterflies range in size from a tiny 1/8 inch to a huge almost 12 inches.
2. Butterflies can see red, green, and yellow.
3. The top butterfly flight speed is 12 miles per hour. Some moths can fly 25 miles per hour!
4. Monarch butterflies journey from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico, a distance of about 2,000 miles, and return to the north again in the spring.
5. Butterflies cannot fly if their body temperature is less than 86 degrees.
6. Representations of butterflies are seen in Egyptian frescoes at Thebes, which are 3,500 years old.
7. Antarctica is the only continent on which no Lepidoptera have been found.
8. There are about 24,000 species of butterflies.
9. The Brimstone butterfly (Gonepterix rhamni) has the longest lifetime of the adult butterflies: 9-10 months.
10. Many butterflies can taste with their feet to find out whether the leaf they sit on is good to lay eggs on to be their caterpillars' food or not.

There is not very much that I remember about butterflies. I know that they come from caterpillars and I know that every butterfly has a unique pattern on their wings. No two are a like, like finger prints or snowflakes. – I remember that, but I couldn’t find it. I know their wings are like little scales and if you touch their wings they can’t fly anymore.

So, since I don’t know anything about butterflies. I’m gonna try to learn more about them. I guess that’s the only thing that I can do. Maybe you can do a better job at providing info about butterflies than I did. Hook me up…
